Iceborne isn’t a DLC, it isn’t an expansion it is essential. Not to mention the fact that by buying Iceborne you get access to the clutch claw a tool so incredibly useful that after using it, I can’t imagine going on a hunt without it. Not only does it add content, it expands upon existing gameplay mechanics that were already established in MHW. If you played the base MHW and loved it, I can’t even begin to explain how much you’re missing out if you didn’t buy Iceborne. As a DLC, imo it beats even Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion in terms of value. Iceborne has so much content that it rivals the base MHW game in terms of completion length.
